ASCENSION COUNCIL ON AGING HOLDING MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

The Ascension Council on Aging is holding its annual membership drive until October 14, 2024. Membership in the council is open without restrictions to parish residents who have reached the age of majority. There is no fee for membership. Persons interested in the problems and concerns of the elderly and wishing to serve in some capacity may apply at 101 Bocage Drive, Donaldsonville, LA 70346 and 526 South Irma Boulevard, Gonzales, LA 70737 through October 14, 2024.

Mission

Our mission is to provide or coordinate the full range of services available through state and federal agencies to the elderly of Ascension Parish.

We want to create an atmosphere of respect for human life and affirm the dignity and self-worth of the older adult by providing a richer and more comfortable life and assisting them in remaining self-sufficient.
